charity: water is a non-profit organization that is committed to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. charity: water started in 2006 and has helped 20 countries, completed 6270 water projects and served 2.5million people.

It’s hard not to think about water today. Did you know that 4100 children die each day from water related diseases? That is about one child every 19 seconds. Unsanitary water and lack of basic disinfection cause more deaths each year than all the violence, including war. Diarrheal disease is the most common illness and is a direct result of contaminated drinking water or poor sanitation. Most of us have never really been thirsty. We simply turn on the tap, and water comes out. Clean. Yet there are 800 million people on the planet who don’t have clean water.

Please help and give back to quench the thirst www.charitywater.org.
