Corporation Stops (or corp stops) are designed for injecting chemical solutions into mains, process systems, tanks, and cooling towers. The use of a corp stop is necessary for cleaning and maintenance in instances where the process water pipe cannot be drained at the diffuser. With a corporation stop, the diffuser can be removed while the process water pipe remains full and pressurized.
How does a Corporation Stop work?
Chemicals are injected into the process water line away from the edge of the pipe. This process will not only allow for better chemical dilution, but will also decrease the chance of costly pipe corrosion.
All Corporation stops are equipped with a safety chain that is used to prevent the solution diffuser tube from blowing out due to the high process pressure.
