Chemical Liquid Feed Systems
Vacuum Liquid Chlorine Feed Systems:
Hydro Instruments has been manufacturing the highest quality chlorination, sulphonation, and ammoniation systems since 1978. The LF Series of Liquid Chemical Feeders are available for feed rates of up to 10 GPM / 600 GPH. The system consists of a Metering Assembly, Venturi Nozzle, and Backflow Prevention devise. The system is easily adjustable and provides a visual indication of the chemical feed rate. The dosage is adjusted by moving the control valve to the desired position.
Using state-of-the-art technology, the all-vacuum design ensures constant metering for a variety of liquid chemicals, including Sodium Hypochlorite, into water or wastewater treatment systems. These systems are available in both manual and automatic control configurations.
The operation begins with water flow that goes through the nozzle and into the ejector, which creates a vacuum and draws the chemical from the storage drum. A rotometer is used to visually monitor the solution feed rate and make adjustments as needed (an automatic control is available). A vacuum is required in order to open the spring loaded check valve in the Hydro Ejector (it is normally closed), which will prevent backflow of water into the storage drum. For additional protection, a secondary check valve is recommended.
